Stations Currents Forecast Guidance
This near surface stations current velocity animation was created with hourly plots from the latest LOOFS forecast guidance. The forecast guidance is for the next 30 hours of stations current velocities as simulated by the model when the Lake Ontario is forced by coastal water levels and winds that are predicted by National Weather Service models. Currents through the deeper navigation channel are stronger than those in the shallower areas.
