How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of U.S. Highway 17 and New Berlin Road in Oceanway, proceed east along New Berlin Road 7.2 km (4.5 mi) to its intersection with Cedar Point Road, then veer left and proceed east along Cedar Point Road for 8.0 km (5.1 mi) to Pumpkin Hill Road, then turn left and proceed north on Pumpkin Hill Road for 2.1 km (1.3 mi) to the dirt road leading north, then veer left along the trail road for 0.08 km (0.05 mi) to a fork in the road, then veer right and proceed north for 1.21 km (0.75 mi) to a second fork in the road, then take the left fork and continue north for 1.4 km (0.9 mi) to a third fork, then bear right and continue for 0.3 km (0.2 mi) to the end of the trail road. The bench marks are located along the dirt road running parallel to Pumpkin Hill Creek. The tide gage and staff were located on a 1 m (4 ft) square structure in Pumpkin Hill Creek.
