How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of Beach Boulevard and U.S. Highway A1A, proceed south on U.S. Highway A1A (3rd Street) for 0.6 km (0.4 mi) to 6th Avenue South, then east on 6th Avenue South to its end at the Jacksonville Beach Fishing Pier. The bench marks are along the seawall north of the pier, along U.S. Highway A1A, and along Beach Boulevard east of Highway A1A. The tide gage and staff were on the west end of the pier.
