How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of State Highway 44 East (Live Oak Avenue) and State Highway A1A (Lytle Avenue) in New Smyrna Beach, go North on State Highway 44 East for 0.08 km (0.05 mi) to the intersection of Douglas Street, turn right on Douglas Street and go East for 0.08 km (0.05 mi) to the junction of South Riverside Drive, turn left on South Riverside Drive and go north for 0.48 km (0.3 mi) to the intersection of Washington Street (State Highway 44 East), turn right on Washington Street and go East of 0.89 km (0.55 mi) to the entrance of the New Smyrna Beach City North Causeway Boat Ramp on the right. The tidal bench marks are in the vicinity of the boat ramp. The tide gauge and staff are attached to the SW end of the west Bridge fender under the state Highway A1A South Causeway.
