How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the Post Office at Marathon, proceed 21.6 km (13.4 mi) SW on U.S Highway 1 to the east end of the Bahia Honda Bridge over Big Spanish Channel, 0.3 km (0.2 mi) south of the new bridge. The bench marks are located on the old highway bridge which is above an abandoned railroad bridge at the state recreation area, and near the tackle shop. The tide gage and staff were located on the NE concrete wingwall of the railroad bridge.
